We paint flags in public space to be in direct contact with people and to spread our message 'unity through identity'.
In Studio Nowhere we develop new ideas and works that should contribute to our search for unity, we hope one day countries only exist in the museum.
'Unity through identity' event
The time schedule for an outdoor event usually looks like:
08:00 hours --> Start event, preparing and painting by Ardvanderlinden.
13:00 hours --> People can join painting and time for interviews.
16:30 hours --> Mayor, alderman or national politician paints a flag and sends flags to twin towns or twin countries.
18:00 hours --> Clearing.
19:00 hours --> End event.
Of course we are open for ideas from your side. We can customize our project to your wishes. The costs of an event vary from 500 euro till 2000 euro depending on destination and size. In the future we hope to organize larger art events for unity.
Finance
We finance 'unity through identity' with own money, contributions of private collectors and purchases by municipalities. So far, we did not receive grants. By buying flags you support 'unity through identity'. If you become a collector you receive a flag of each country where we paint for 30 euro each. We send it by post to you, so you will have an original flag with stamp. It is also possible to buy single flags, pictures and sculptures. We will use the money to finance new events.
